Piece of advice

typing in all lower case does not make you cool. it does not mean you are "with it" or "modern." it means you are fucking lazy and it makes it hard for your reader to grasp where a sentence should begin or end. it means i get frustrated trying to listen to you go on and on about your problem when you just go on and on and it looks and reads like one massive run-on sentence.

is this about me?
I have an aversion to capital letters, they killed my parents.

I try to teach by illustration. Sorry.

Nope. About work. It's bad enough that things are misspelt, and let us not forget the horror that is the grammar I deal with daily, but nothing makes my eyes glaze over faster than a big block of text that looks like a run-on.

if there's one thing I hate about modern English speakers, and there's a lot to hate about the perversity with which English speakers speak English, I've gotta say, and I mean this with complete and utter sincerity, after all, good rhetoric is about senserity, honesty, integrity, is lower case letters, which, incidentally, are the illegitimate hellspawn of punctuation and capital letters, and run-on sentences, and not because I've got some stuffed-shirt, Harvard mentality about my mother-tongue, the English language, but because lowercase letters and run-on sentences truly degrade the very fabric of the culture of our society, which, I need not remind anyone, was based on effective, poignant communication starting with John Hancock who was certainly not one for a circumlocutious speaking or messages of intent but for bold statements of right and individuality that define our culture and our language.

Precisely!

And thanks for using circumlocutious, Erin was looking for it the other day, and I couldn't remember it.

It becomes necessary in the service industry to develop such things.
