(no subject)

Well, I'm cold today.

I need to study for my exams.

[livejournal.com profile] zsparke asked me today what I do that really satisfies me. I couldn't think of an answer. She suggested that I try to do something for the sake of saying, Look Here, I Did It. Sounds nice, no? 'Cept that everything I do is nothing special. It takes no special effort to do. Unless you count draining others of their time and care.

Anyways, I really need to study. Hopefully I can study.

Not only am I no use to anyone else, I'm also of no use to me. How wonderful.

And everybody can see how blatantly bipolar this entry is, no?

Anyways, off I go.

PETER

Ummm, how many people do you know that actually do stuff for fun that takes an unusual amount of effort? I'm sure your hobbies take up just as much time and energy as anyone else's.

Hobbies

I've always wondered what hobbies were. I don't really have any. I never have an end product to point to, which is what hobbies imply. The things I do take up as much energy and are about half as useful as masturbation. With less to show for it, too.

And I shit you not, your FreeWill Astrology (http://www.freewillastrology.com) horoscope for the week:
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): This week's counsel is extreme. Don't read another word, Virgo, unless you feel ready to carry out a task that will require you to be daringly rebellious and brazenly optimistic. According to my reading of the astrological omens, you're being asked to revise your attitudes, change your habits, alter your behavior, or do whatever else it may take to arrive at a radical new way of looking at your life: You must be able to sincerely believe that the cosmos or fate or God -- whatever you want to call the Vastness -- is on your side and wants you to succeed at the thing you enjoy most. Here's a big hint about one way to proceed, courtesy of author Paulo Coelho: "Know what you want and all the universe conspires to help you achieve it."
So, basically, I'm right, you're wrong. The end. ;D
