Hebrew Question

I know Madonna has been getting into a particular sect of Judaism, and I'm just curious if anyone knows what this:

means. Seeing how they were on her arm and the electric chair she fled.

Attempt in unicode:

לאו

the hebrew, i think, is LAV. according to the Qabbalah, this is one of the 72 names of God.. the one meaning an escape from a selfish mindset.. or something along those lines..

Meaning

Apparently, from this (http://pub31.ezboard.com/fcoldfunk3208frm3.showMessage?topicID=174.topic) discussion and this (http://www.mad-eyes.net/disco/misc/daday.htm) page, the word is pronounced "lav" (the letters, right to left, are lamed-alef-vav) and means "no", "not necessary" or "shall not do". Also from the second site, to explain why that particular word is there:

In a second story line, the wounds from the duel between the two ego's are inflicted on a battered and bruised Madonna, who's being tortured by Korean guards. She keeps on kicking, spitting and laughing, so the guards decide to put her in the electric chair. But Madonna wraps phylactery (leather strips) around her left arm to make her immune from the ego's desire. Before she sits in the electric chair she fights against her own ego.

So there you go.
