Question for the ladies out there:

Why do girls "dress up" for finals? I mean I saw some girls who's clothes should have been outlawed! ;-)

Are they trying to distract the guys around them to bring about a favorable curve? Are they trying to distract the professor so he gives them a high classwork grade? What in the EFF are they looking for?!?!?

Haha, you're so funny :P I don't really know, but you remember when I used to get dressed up on the last day of school. Just for fun. That's about all I can figure out... or they do want the professor to give them a higher grade ;)

How did you know it was nice today? Anyways, I heard girls going like, "I dressed up for my finals today." Another girl said, "oh yeah, I went all slutty for the SATs."

WTF is going on?!?!?

Haha, I don't know what kind of a school you go to Peter :P I never heard any girls talking about that kind of stuff before. And it was really nice here today, so I figured it was probably nice there too.

I dress up for finals and I do it for a couple of reasons.
1) When you look nice you feel more confidant. That makes you do better on tests
2) It gives you something to think about besides failing while you're getting dressed in the morning
3) It keeps you from thinking about how you look during the test
4) The sense of ritual can be comforting.
There are some more but I think you get the idea.
I only try to dress up nicely though, which involves more clothing than usual (to address your curve comment) For example I'm prolly going to wear a blouse and long skirt to my physics final today. For my CS final I wore dress pants with a long over coat/dress thing. Both are somewhat formal, neither is perticularly revealing.

anyway remember when i said "physics final TODAY" i've got to get going.
