Webhosting.

So I was thinking of getting some webhosting. These guys seem pretty
awesome. I would request a Slackware box running a 2.6 kernel.

Before I lose the non-geeks among you, which "xoder"-riffic domain name
should I consider getting and why? And should I beg [livejournal.com profile] alexatrit
for a hellskitchen.org subdomain as well? Last I checked all the global
TLDs have "xoder" available as well as all the country ones (I was
considering getting xod.er, but Eritria only gives domains to citizens).

Your input, as always, is welcomed.

If no one renews the hellskitchen.org domain, you won't need to worry about an HK subdomain. Then there's the question of further diluting the name. Otherwise that's a piece-o-cake. Eh, whatever. Someone might as well get some use out of it.

$19.95 for 99.9% SLA is pretty nice. For root access, too.

Of course if you want the bare basics on a lil' system, I do a decent job for $5/month. No redundancy for network, power, or disks; but no bandwidth restrictions.

You're paid up through June, lad. Now if I could recruit a couple more just like you, I'd have some of those expenses taken care of. I'm starting to wish I had a pair of redundant drives on that thing.
