1. Reply to this post, because I would like to say a couple words about you.
2. I will also tell you what song(s) remind me of you when I hear it.
3. I will also tell you what celebrity/public [or anime/manga] person you remind me of, either personality-wise or looks-wise.
4. I will also give ONE WORD that I associate with you when I think of you.
5. We all could use a boost now and then, so steal this for your journal and make someone else's day as well.

  1. Charlene, you are a beautiful woman. Oh, and I totally enjoy our times together because you are also a delightfully odd one. Thanks for being you, and I can't wait to see you this break. Oh, and your penchant for grammar and vocabulary is totally awesome!
  2. Barenaked Ladies - Call Me Calmly
  3. The alien chick in FLCL, although less homicidal
  4. Strength

A song about a gigilo/prostitute reminds you of me? I think that bothers me.

[identity profile] xoder.livejournal.com 2004-12-14 10:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Its really just the fact that I associate meeting up with you with the phone. "Call me calmly" is a bit of a reminder of proper behavior.

meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. :-p

Dear Allison,

[identity profile] xoder.livejournal.com 2004-12-14 12:59 pm (UTC)(link)
  1. Dear, you've been quite nice to me, especially of late. I'm glad we finally got to hanging out more often together. I hope that we can continue, despite our mutual busyness and recent events.
  2. Savage Garden - Break Me Shake Me
  3. I'm really bad at guessing celebrities, but I'd have to say that you remind me of that character in your average teen drama that hasn't yet learned to let things go.
  4. Electric

i'm glad we got to hanging out more as well. it's time to catch up on what we kept saying we would do three years ago, which was hang out. but yay for now.

"break me shake me" reminds you of ME? I guess I can see why in a way, but still... oh btw, that's one of my favorite songs, esp the instrumental at 0:58-1:07, and at 1:26-1:43

as for number three... that's probably true. :-p but i am definitely NOT generic! -.-

electric? *raises eyebrows* i'm almost afraid to ask.

Re: Dear Allison,

[identity profile] xoder.livejournal.com 2004-12-14 02:27 pm (UTC)(link)
I chose the song because of the music, so I find it highly appropriate that you enjoyed the instrumental sections :-)

And no one ever said you were generic, I just couldn't pick one is all.

  1. Danica, you are a thoroughly interesting person. Even though we aren't going out anymore, I'm glad to call you my friend. I've learned a lot (of sign ;-)) from you, and I only hope that you have learned from me and us as well. Oh, and don't forget you're hot!

  1. ellF, I felt I never got to know you as well as you deserved. You seemed a touch over-maligned for reasons that were largely not your fault. I'm sorry that Rochester hasn't worked out for you. And I hope you find what you need.

  1. Melissa, you are beautiful and kind. You have a unique connection to nature, and the nature of things, which I find fascinating. I know you didn't like it here in Rochester, which I find sad, especially because I enjoyed you being here. I'm glad that we see each other at Lunacon (http://lunacon.org), which, barring any major disaster, I should be able to attend this year as well.

Rochester was/is okay, the people were great, living there was nice, I just needed to get out of that school. I'd have to say I am better off for it but for about 9-11 months after I left I often would question the decision to leave my entire life behind for great uncertanty. I left the house and the people I loved living with, left all my friends, left the geekyness, left 2 jobs where the people loved me and that I enjoyed, left 3 years of school behind, left my home basically for a not so wonderful appartment, a community college (what a joke that was at times...ok most of the time but student loans not coming due = invaluable), no friends (okay, one or two), no job, ignant people, no idea where I was going to go to school next and I was trying to fix myself from all the damage that was done from my time in school. There was a lot of good, but there also was a lot of bad. So, to say that I didn't like it in Rochester is not really it. It is more that I needed to leave for, you know, little things like sanity.
Now though, I am living in a better appartment, have a good job, have small moments of geekyness w/ coworkers, more people that I can at least be social with, fencing and Aikido, classes at Cornell, and an opportunity to make myself much more marketable as a transfer student. I also don't feel so old anymore, and I think I am more at peace with everything.

ahem...And now returning to life, already in progress. Toodles.
