Was watching the SG-1 Season premiere. The only way to know the true extent of current technology is to be working for a defense contractor doing cutting edge work. For example, the X303 - a interplanetary sublight speed space ship. =) Or even SG-1 itself. Think about it. It could exist. And the only way to know is to make the weapons and technology they need. =)
