[Poll #9814]

(no subject)

From: [identity profile] b55b55.livejournal.com
the question:
Is that more, less, or equal to the number of sensual/sexual partners you've had?
is written in a rather confusing manner

i answerd more because my number of "singnificant others" aka boyfriends [5] is more than my number of sexual partners [which is 0]
i'm not sure if that was right?

"Sensual/sexual" partners

They are people where sensual/sexual activity took place without a preexisting relationship. I.e. "fooling around," "hooking up," or simply doing such sensual/sexual activities with someone with whom you are not yet or not going to be involved with. Sensual is anything from kissing (as in a romantic way) up to (but not necessarily including) sex itself.

I said it before, and I'll say it again. The reason "sensual" is tacked on before "sexual" is to show that you can be sexual with someone without having sex with them. Therefore, if you did something with someone, and you weren't (at that point in time) in a relationship with them, then they were your "sensual partner."

Wait i'm still confused
So in order for someone to count in this catagory you have to have kissed them during a time when you wern't dating them.
Ex: if i have a boyfriend who i didn't kiss till we were actualy going out than he dosn't count in this catagory?
Or is it anyone you've kissed including people you were officialy dating at the time.

It is inclusive. Therefore, significant others who you have "done stuff" with are counted, plus anyone else with whom "stuff was done."
I hope this clears things up a bit... sorry for the unclear question everyone. :-/

"How many "significant others" have you had?"

is this asking for the number of unique sig others, or the number of relationships, keeping separate dating the same person twice if dating someone else in between?

This does not matter for me, but I was just wondering.

I'm gonna follow Brittany's lead on this one and call it unique.
