I've said it before and I'll say it again, 128Kbps MP3 sounds like shit.

For rock anyways. The cymbals go straight to hell. High-frequency smudging.

I don't mind 128kbps it's rates lower than that which bother me. Anyway, you can improve the sound of the cymbals slightly by turning up the bass or turning down the treble.
