lazy? nope (or at least I dont think so)

I skipped running today because I felt my lower back yesterday getting very angry about some of the impacts I've been subjecting it to of late (stomping around on a rather unforgiving floor in Pat's TKD class). I am also thinking about skipping the headmaster's class tonight for the same reason.

Christ, man -- why are you stomping that hard?

Well, a) I'm used to a normal gym floor, so making the switch was a bit tricky, and b) I have an underlying injury that makes it a little hypersensitive.

I'd rather take a day off from running than a day off from life as I had to do when I first got that injury.

I'm also working on stregthening my core by sitting and standing better so my back can be more easily protected. I've been kinda lax lately about things like sitting up straight, so I need to pay more attention to it.

Ah, ok. Makes much more sense now -- there are wide swaths of technique that I cannot reliably do, given my shoulder and knee injuries.

Incidentally, I'll be in NYC on July 27/28. Dinner? Hanging out? Joy!?

re: hanging out:
Sounds like a set of good ideas! And it'll be just after HOPE so I can confirm or deny the skeezy.
