Who'da thunk that RIT could have a better social life than any other college?

Any service academy is balls-out when it comes

MIT. What can I say, our valedictorian went there. Loves it, she does. Then again, our saludictorian (my friend Matt) went to UVA and parties all the time, and I imagine gets to enjoy his life more often.

I applied to WPI. Visited the place once, and decided rather quickly that I wouldn't be going there. The blueberry muffins at the orientation were rather tasty, though.

The social life is what you make it. I don't think people understand that.

Now, I won't say that some people are like this, because obviously there are some, but if you believe that all Smithies are like this, you'll believe that there are no lesbians here, and oh, yeah, in my bag-o'-tricks, I might have a bridge to see you... I, unlike my roommate, do not spend all my time studying. I do work-study jobs, I attend meeting for the BSA and the Syndicate, the best lit mag in the five college area(!), and I write newspaper article on music for the school. I do keep up with my classes (this is made easier by the fact that a) I don't have the TV in my room anymore - Quelle distraction! - and b) I like my classes better than last year, therefore the material has gotten more interesting). Hell, last night I reread A Midsummer Night's Dream in less than an hour. But, yes, I do like to leave my room, go to a party, the gym, shopping, et al. I refuse to study all the time; it'll make me a boring person and it's not good to be boring.
