xoder: (Happy Dance)
So, yesterday was quite busy. I kicked the rear of my DiffEq (at least a little bit), got reamed by the Complex Variables exam (as expected). Immediately thereafter, I flew home. Then I did both Howard and Mike's classes. Wow was that fun/tiring.

Then I went to sleep, woke up around 11, failed to get myself out of bed until 2:50.

Ate breakfast (Sun Soy is not bad, and nearly indistiguishable from Silk). Picked up birthday presents for the Dad (he has the same b'day as [livejournal.com profile] faboo).

Had dinner, went to see the new Harry Potter flick. Yum. I love the foreshadowing of the Ron/Hermione action that comes at the end of the movie.

And in other news,

Goodnight

Disturbing things seen today
  • A "Terrorist Hunting Permit." It looked very official, even had the image of NYS on it. Its serial number was 91101
  • The Directors Cut of Kite. Personally, I liked this anime, and when I heard that somewhere around 25 minutes of "explicit footage" had been cut from the American release, I must admit I was intregued to know what was cut. The directors cut has all this in it. I picked up the DVD, looked on the back, and there wasn't a single "decent" picture of the female lead (who I think of as "Kite", even though I know thats not her name). Sex sells. Scary sometimes to see it in action, no?
And in other news, I decided not to surprise the BxSci folk today. My mom warned me about slashing attacks on teachers, and for some reason that convinced me to just go to the dentist as planned.

Speaking of: I still have teeth! I should floss more, though.

Lunch, should eat lunch.

And go to the bank to deposit various checks that I can't deposit in bloody Rochester, so far from any branch of my bank.

Okay, ttyl

I forgot to mention from last night's Harry Potter film: The girl who plays Moaning Myrtle is really rather hot. Its a shame that she's transparent throughout the movie.

I also think that I've finaly learned regular expressions (go Barnes and Noble for having tons of UNIX books lying around). Or at least the simple ones. The more complicated ones are nifty, and I think I have them too, its just, yeah.
