I agree -- without a free user base nobody would get a paied account in the first place. The whole point of lj is that you use it to talk to your friends -- and if they're not on their (paied or free) than you won't use it Honestly if they do limit it to three posts a day i think that i'll prolly stop using the service very much -- at least as far as posting my own stuff. I definitly post more than three entries a day on over 1/3 of the days i post.
I mean i read through some of the comments and it makes sense to cap people who are posting ridicuilous amouts of stuff a day -- and by ridiculous i don't mean 20 -- i mean more like above 30 or maybe 48(two an hour). It makes sense to cap people doing hundreds of posts a day(as some apparently are)
And i understand setting the free user cap lower -- but not that low -- and is it realy true that you lose post you send in if you're over the limit(like that girl was complaining about) -- that's just poor design
