just used Perl to complete a mirror that wget fucked up that will make my life easier. How do you kill top level +keep contents?

mv subdir/* ; rm -rf subdir/

Safety, mainly. It'a a Good Idea to avoid using rm -rf unless you Really Need To (to delete a directory with stuff in it)
