Woooo! Give it up for melodrama... Um, actually though, emotional independance is usually a good thing. It usually sounds almost bitter when you say it, but in reality, it's something that everyone ought to have. There are times when it's nice to be able to rely on someone, but it's dangerous if you find that you need to rely on someone.

Being dependant on a certain person isn't particularly healthy - but then again, neither is forcing yourself to rely on no one at all.
