If there was a law that provided castration as a punishment for sex offenders, I'd be all for it. But only for brutal, violent rapists. You don't deserve to live your life fully, most in the case of molesting children, if you've committed that crime. Sure, God'll send 'em down to the pits of hell in the end, but we as people gotta take these repeat offenders and steal their freedom, and maybe knowing that, indefinatly, you will be followed for the rest of your life will keep people from doing it. God is merciful, and so is life (for the most part) but we've proven ourselves too lienient with laws and punishments. You have to pay, even though it's not our job to kill. But as a society, we've fallen away from morals, and rightful punishment. Taxpayers pay $90,000 a year to feed, clothe, and take care of prisoners. This will save us money anyway. Less repeat offenses. I know it may be a violation of human rights--but isn't the little boy out there who got lured away and molested violated too?
