Certain websites allow for RSS, RDF or XML feeds. What that really means is that you can get news/comics/otherpeople's blogs on your LJ friends page. Any site using the current version of the LJ code (like deadjournal, or some such) will have an RSS feed available at www.ljrunningsite.com/users/username/rss

Check my friends page. Any user who doesn't have a color set (so only black on white), is an RSS or XML feed.
