Besides, flickr has enough momentum now that I think any other efforts in this arena are going to have about the same effect as a fork. At best, good for demonstrating neat new ideas without corrupting the main effort. Flickr's use of a proper folksonomy makes zoto much less useful in comparison.
Perhaps I'm missing the problem here with flash (http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash&P2_Platform=Linux&P3_Browser_Version=Netscape4)?
