Question of the Day:
When is it appropriate to apologize for one's own existance? And how does one perform such an act?

[And yes, I do want answers]

An apology for one's existance is passive aggressive bullshit. I imagine it's something roughly on par with a 16 year old writing poetry like: "Dark knife of my pain plunging into my black heart/ I am alone / No one cares." It's not constructive, and just leaves everyone else uncomfortable.

What *is* acceptable, I think, it taking responsibility for your existance. If you're being an ass, be an ass knowingly. If you're going to just sit and do nothing, be honest and accept that at that moment, you are doing nothing. Spare yourself the qualitiative judgements -- "I'm hurting everyone because I'm bad." Just leave it at, "I am doing this set of things now. I wish to change them."
